Care & Recovery

Pastoral Care

In different seasons of our lives we may find ourselves struggling with difficulties and realize that we need a little help to press on. As an equipping church, Grace Church views the struggles of our lives as discipleship opportunities – opportunities for us to grow even in the midst of our pain. In providing pastoral care, we seek to provide counseling environments where you can not only find the strength “to make it” but to move forward to a better place in your life and relationship with Jesus. These environments might include short-term pastoral counseling with a pastor or church leader, mentoring, and/or trusted professional counseling.

Family Grace

Family Grace is a family support care group for families and spouses of those with a loved one dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental health difficulty or disorders. The curriculum being used is created by The Grace Alliance and is Christ-centered, focused on providing both tools and community support.
Family Grace is for family members of a loved one with mental health issues. It is not for the individual struggling with mental health issues. If you have a family member needing support, please contact [email protected]
– Meetings are held at the Pelham Campus Children’s Building
– Meetings will begin on Tuesday, January 29 and meet every other week through the end of November.
– Meetings are 6:30-8pm with childcare available
– Registration is $25 and financial assistance is available.
– Each week is a standalone topic so even if group members cannot make each week, they are encouraged to continue to come.

Understanding Dementia

The number of people with dementia is on the rise, and for each person diagnosed, care is required. In a community the size of the Grace community, there are likely many families caring for a loved one with dementia. Many are doing it without any education or training, which leaves them vulnerable to confusion, fear, frustration, and ultimately, burn-out. By partnering with the staff of The Gardens, our goal is to equip caregivers to better care for their loved one by better understanding the disease and learning practical strategies to cope with it. We will also share the many local resources available to help families dealing with dementia, whatever their needs many be.

We all experience brokenness in life.  We all struggle with sin, our own, the sins of others and the effects of sin all around us. We believe that there is hope for each of us found in Christ and that God gives us steps of healing in His Word, the Bible. Re:generation is 12-step discipleship process through recovery.   By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, disordered eating, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, same sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts and many other personal struggles.

All who are tired, broken or hurting are invited to come find recovery in Jesus Christ.

Grief Share

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:  Video Seminars, Group Discussions, and a Personal Workbook.

It is not just a Grace Church ministry but a trusted program used in a network of over 13,000 churches worldwide.
