Upstate Foster & Adoptive families are invited to join us virtually for our next monthly parent training. It’s true that the social-emotional development of infants and toddlers in foster care who have been neglected, abused, or traumatized can differ from other children. Dr. Mackenzie Soniak of SC Infant Mental Health Association will join us to discuss infant mental health and the impact of a child’s experiences from day 1, highlighting why foster care is so essential to helping these very young children build resiliency. Parents will gain strategies and resources to support a child’s social and emotional development through this interactive training.
