Could something as simple as mentoring a child really change things for them? The answer is yes.
The children in our schools who need mentors are the same children who are identified as “at-risk” in other arenas. Whether they experience the impacts of foster care, the risks of trafficking, or the challenges that come from never quite getting ahead, children and youth in our communities are living at-risk. They are vulnerable, and they need someone like you now so that they do not become a statistic later.
Organizations like Mentor Upstate and Miracle Hill are working in local schools and throughout our community to connect these under-resourced children to mentors. Join us at the Spartanburg campus on November 6, from 2-5pm or November 7, from 6-8pm for an upcoming training to become a mentor for youth. This training is hosted by Miracle Hill Homes for Life.
