AN | Ezer: A Woman’s Words

September 16, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
In Homes (AN) SC 29621 United States
$15

Words are tools. We use them to express ourselves, to communicate, and to connect with others. We use them to vent frustrations and to express joy. We use them to bless and to curse. We use words to manipulate and control and to help and encourage. We use words in ways that tear others down, and we use them in ways that build others up. We all know the power of our words, so why do we still struggle to use them in ways that bring life rather than death? Join us for this nine-week Ezer study, A Woman’s Words: Getting to the Heart of our Speech. We will explore what the Scripture has to say about our words and how the gospel has the power and hope we need to transform them. This study will begin the week of September 16. Please click below to see all dates available.

133 E. Whitner Street Anderson, SC 29624, 133 E. Whitner Street
Anderson, SC 29624 United States

Life is full of circumstances beyond our control. How will we respond? Our responses reveal how all humans by nature take good desires (affirmation, comfort, relationship) and make those ultimate desires into something we worship (affirmation, comfort, relationship at all cost). Our decisions reflect our internal drives and motivations for something. The question is, what will that "something" be? How People Change Institute class helps us understand how Christ uses circumstances and our responses to grow our faith and make us holy. Please click the link below to register. Childcare is provided.

AN | MRT: A Man and His Faith

Monday, January 27 @ 6:30 am - 8:00 am

Not many of us believe it, but it’s true. We live from the inside out—not the outside in. That doesn’t mean the two are disconnected because they aren’t. However, our outer world doesn’t help us very much if our inner world collapses. The authors of the Bible and Jesus knew this, so it only makes sense that we should know this as well. In the newest 6-week installment of MRT, we will be looking at A Man and His Faith. We will wrestle with issues like The Fear of Man vs. The Fear of God, Anger, and what it means to Pursue God as men. This specific study is only being offered to high school and college students. Thursday, February 13 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Anderson Campus, 133 E. Whitner Street
Anderson, SC 29621 United States
$15

Words are tools. We use them to express ourselves, to communicate, and to connect with others. We use them to vent frustrations and to express joy. We use them to bless and to curse. We use words to manipulate and control and to help and encourage. We use words in ways that tear others down, and we use them in ways that build others up. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” (MSG). Words aren’t neutral. They are productive. There is no avoiding this truth – our words will either have positive or negative ramifications. We all know the power of our words, so why do we still struggle to use them in ways that bring life rather than death? Join us for this new nine-week Ezer study, A Woman’s Words: Getting to the Heart of our Speech on Thursday, February 13 at 9:00am. We will explore what the Scripture has to say about our words and how the gospel has the power and hope we need to transform them.
