DT | Baptism

Sunday, January 27 @ 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Baptism is an act of obedience and a way of publicly identifying with Jesus. As Christ was buried and raised to life, baptism represents that you have died to your old life (burial) and have been given a new life (resurrection). Baptism does not make you a believer, but it is a way of publicly showing that you already trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins. Our next baptism will be January 27.

DT | Ezer: Biblical Femininity

Tuesday, February 12 @ 6:30 am - 7:30 am
Mountain Goat, 120 Shaw Street
Greenville, SC 29609 United States
$15

God created every woman with a specific purpose — to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezer is one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling, but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and season of life. Through the Biblical Femininity study, we learn to embrace our uniqueness and live out our calling right where God has us today. Our next Biblical Femininity study will begin on Tuesday, February 12. Click below for more information and to register.

DT | Ezer: Shame | Finding Freedom

Tuesday, February 12 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
In Homes (DT) SC 29601 United States
$15

Shame is a universal issue; we all experience it, it’s just not something we talk about. It is often confused with perfectionism, people-pleasing, fear of man, or guilt. Shame is the powerful undercurrent that lurks undetected in the dark corners of our lives and shapes our day-to-day choices, actions, and relationships. Though the circumstances and experiences of shame are different for every woman, the core is the same for all: shame is an identity issue. We will offer Shame study groups starting February 12.

DT | Parenting: Establishing Authority

Tuesday, March 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Downtown Fellowship Hall, 101 W. McBee Ave
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

When it comes to parenting, our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. But what we find in Scripture is that our children are not our own, they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing His kingdom throughout generations. And we have been given the responsibility to raise up the next generation of godly leaders. This institute class seeks to equip parents or caregivers in the process of training young children by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children. The class begins March 5 and runs for 4 weeks. The cost of the class is $10.00 per person/$20.00 per couple. We provide childcare for nursery through 5th grade.
