DT | Institute | Parenting: Establishing Authority

Monday, January 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. What we find in Scripture is that children are not our own; they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing his Kingdom throughout generations. We have been given the responsibility to raise godly leaders. This institute class seeks to equip parents in the process of training 0 - 6 year olds by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children.

The last several months have put an incredible strain on many marriages. Even in “normal” times, becoming “one flesh” in a fallen and broken world isn’t easy. So how can we move forward during these days of uncertainty and stress?

We invite you to join us for Marriage Matters: From Conflict to Connection. In this six-week experience, we will look at how our differences can either divide us or create an opportunity for us to connect and grow. PV | Institute | Parenting: Establishing Authority

Monday, April 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Powdersville Campus, 9205 Hwy 81
Piedmont, SC 29673 United States

Parenting is above all else, an exercise in leadership and dependence on God. We must resist the temptation to look for an overly precise and clear pathway of biblical parenting that will guarantee specific outcomes for our children and teens. Conversely, we can’t be lazy and settle for whatever parenting style we think is best. The Bible gives us some vital wisdom related to parenting at all ages, but this must also be accompanied by intellectual and spiritual rigor. These institute classes seek to equip parents in the process of training children by providing a biblical parenting framework around the ideas of establishing authority in young children (ages 0-6) and developing responsibility in older children (ages 7 and up).
