GR | Parenting: Establishing Authority

June 5, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Greer Campus, 133 E Poinsett Street
Greer, SC 29651 United States

When it comes to parenting, our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. But what we find in Scripture is that our children are not our own, they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing His kingdom throughout generations. And we have been given the responsibility to raise up the next generation of godly leaders. This institute class seeks to equip parents in the process of training young children by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children. Please join us on Wednesdays in June from 6:30-8:00pm. Please sign up below.

AN | Institute: How People Change

October 6, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Life is full of circumstances beyond our control. How will we respond? Our responses reveal how all humans by nature take good desires (affirmation, comfort, relationship) and make those ultimate desires into something we worship (affirmation, comfort, relationship at all cost). Our decisions reflect our internal drives and motivations for something. The question is, what will that "something" be? How People Change Institute class helps us understand how Christ uses circumstances and our responses to grow our faith and make us holy. Please click the link below to register. Since creation, God has been on a mission to fill the earth with his glory. Since the fall, he has been on a mission through the gospel of his Son to redeem a people to himself to worship him for his glory and their eternal joy. Communities of these people (called churches) work toward this end by making disciples. Grace Church is one of the heirs of this task in Anderson, SC. Come join us as we consider the mission of God and our place in it! Each of these three monthly classes builds on the last, but you can benefit from any of them even if you have to miss the others. We will meet in the Tolly Room on the third floor.
