Coercion through “Choice” is an innovative and engaging simulation training exercise that provides an interactive learning experience on the realities of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Participants are provided with a backstory and current situation of a hypothetical woman based on real-life experiences of local survivors of trafficking and prostitution in Greenville, SC. Participants have the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of a survivor and make their own choices to attempt to escape and overcome obstacles many women living in Greenville face on a daily basis. The choices made by participants throughout the exercise will determine the outcome of their experience, and each participant will have a unique and individual learning opportunity. Coercion Through “Choice” illustrates the reality that prostitution is most often the “choice” for those with the fewest choices.Find out more »
