AN | MRT: A Man and His Faith

Monday, January 27 @ 6:30 am - 8:00 am

Not many of us believe it, but it’s true. We live from the inside out—not the outside in. That doesn’t mean the two are disconnected because they aren’t. However, our outer world doesn’t help us very much if our inner world collapses. The authors of the Bible and Jesus knew this, so it only makes sense that we should know this as well. In the newest 6-week installment of MRT, we will be looking at A Man and His Faith. We will wrestle with issues like The Fear of Man vs. The Fear of God, Anger, and what it means to Pursue God as men. This specific study is only being offered to high school and college students. Click on the link below to register.

PV | Ezer: A Woman’s Words

Monday, February 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Powdersville Campus, 9205 Hwy 81
Piedmont, SC 29673 United States
$15

Words are tools. We use them to express ourselves, to communicate, and to connect with others. We use them to vent frustrations and to express joy. We use them to bless and to curse. We use words to manipulate and control and to help and encourage. We use words in ways that tear others down, and we use them in ways that build others up. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” (MSG). Words aren’t neutral. They are productive. There is no avoiding this truth – our words will either have positive or negative ramifications. We all know the power of our words, so why do we still struggle to use them in ways that bring life rather than death? A nine-week Woman’s Words study will launch on Monday evenings beginning February 3 from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

PV | Institute: Parenting | Establishing Authority

Monday, February 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Powdersville Campus, 9205 Hwy 81
Piedmont, SC 29673 United States

Our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. What we find in scripture is that children are not our own; they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing his Kingdom throughout generations. We have been given the responsibility to raise godly leaders. This Institute class seeks to equip parents in the process of training 0-6 year olds by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children. Four weeks on Mondays, February 3 - 24
Developing Responsibility- Raising the next generation of image bearers is not for the faint of heart! As a church, we are committed to continuing to equip you to grow in your parenting skills. The transition from elementary age to the teen years can present unique challenges, and we want to meet those head-on with an eye to preparing our children to be godly teenagers. Five weeks on Mondays, February 3 - March 2.

TR | Ezer: Biblical Femininity

Thursday, February 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
In Homes (TR) SC 29690 United States

God created every woman with a specific purpose—to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezer is one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling, but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and season of life. Through the Biblical Femininity study, we learn to embrace our uniqueness and live out our calling right where God has us today. This group will meet for six weeks in the Travelers Rest area. TR | Ezer: A Woman’s Words

Thursday, February 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
In Homes (TR) SC 29690 United States

Words are tools. We use them to express ourselves, to communicate, and to connect with others. We use them to vent frustrations and to express joy. We use them to bless and to curse. We use words to manipulate and control and to help and encourage. We use words in ways that tear others down, and we use them in ways that build others up. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” (MSG). Words aren’t neutral. They are productive. There is no avoiding this truth—our words will either have positive or negative ramifications. We all know the power of our words, so why do we still struggle to use them in ways that bring life rather than death? This group will meet for eight weeks in the Travelers Rest area. Click the link for more information and to register!
