TR | Institute | Parenting: Establishing Authority

Thursday, February 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Travelers Rest Location, 12408 Old White Horse Rd
Travelers Rest, SC 29690 United States

Our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. What we find in Scripture is that children are not our own; they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing his Kingdom throughout generations. We have been given the responsibility to raise godly leaders. This institute class seeks to equip parents in the process of training 0 - 6 year olds by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children.

TR | Ezer: Biblical Femininity

Thursday, February 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
In Homes (TR) SC 29690 United States
$15

God created every woman with a specific purpose—to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezer is one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling, but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and season of life. Through the Biblical Femininity study, we learn to embrace our uniqueness and live out our calling right where God has us today.

DT | Baptism

Sunday, February 21 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Baptism is an act of obedience, commanded by Jesus and a way of publicly identifying with him. As Christ was crucified, buried, and raised to life, baptism represents that you have died to your old life (burial) and have been given a new life (resurrection). Baptism does not make you a believer, but it is a way of publicly demonstrating that you already trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins.

We believe that there is hope for each of us found in Christ and that God gives us steps of healing in his Word, the Bible. Re:generation is a 12-step discipleship process through recovery. By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, disordered eating, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, same-sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts, and many other personal struggles. It’s an honor to be asked to mentor a re:generation participant. It means the participant is willing to trust you with some of the deepest parts of their lives and that they see Christ already at work in your life. The most effective mentors are those who spend time on their knees for their participant, themselves, and the re:generation ministry. They serve from the overflow of joy in their hearts, trusting God to bring healing to the participant’s life and leaning on group leaders and the participant’s recovery partners for support.

We all experience brokenness in life. We all struggle with sin, our own, the sins of others and the effects of sin all around us. All who are tired, broken, or hurting are invited to come find recovery in Jesus Christ. Re:gen meetings will be happening on Monday nights at our Harrison Bridge Campus.
