HB | Ezer: Biblical Femininity

Saturday, March 28 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Starbucks, 657 Fairview Rd
Simpsonville, SC 29680 United States

God created every woman with a specific purpose—to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezer is one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling, but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and season of life. Through the Biblical Femininity study, we learn to embrace our uniqueness and live out our calling right where God has us today. Our next Biblical Femininity study will begin Saturday, March 28 from 9:00am-10:30am. Click the link below for more information and to register. Registration will close March 16.

PV | Ezer: A Woman’s Words

Monday, March 30 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Powdersville Campus, 9205 Hwy 81
Piedmont, SC 29673 United States
$15

Words are tools. We use them to express ourselves, to communicate, and to connect with others. We use them to vent frustrations and to express joy. We use them to bless and to curse. We use words to manipulate and control and to help and encourage. We use words in ways that tear others down, and we use them in ways that build others up. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” (MSG). Words aren’t neutral. They are productive. There is no avoiding this truth – our words will either have positive or negative ramifications. We all know the power of our words, so why do we still struggle to use them in ways that bring life rather than death? A nine-week Woman’s Words study will launch on Monday evenings beginning March 30 from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

HB | Online | Institute: Parenting: Establishing Authority

Tuesday, April 28 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Online SC United States

When it comes to parenting, our culture is obsessed with the welfare and success of our children. We fluctuate between anxiety and control in our attempts to micromanage their lives. But what we find in Scripture is that our children are not our own, they are gifts from a faithful God who is dedicated to establishing His kingdom throughout generations. And we have been given the responsibility to raise up the next generation of godly leaders. This institute class seeks to equip parents in the process of training young children by providing a biblical parenting framework around the idea of establishing authority in young children. The class will begin Tuesday, April 28 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Please click below for more information and to register.

Outreach | Online | Foster & Adopt Monthly Parent Training

Thursday, May 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Many of us have fostered and many of us have lost that child back to their family, into another foster home or into an adoptive home. Foster families can feel a substantial loss when a child in their care leaves - even when the foster family was ready for the child to leave. In this training, foster families and child advocates come together for one and a half hours, where we share and gain more closure, saying goodbye to the children who were in our lives for a brief time. Tara Posner will be hosting this training, and we are so glad she can offer this conversation virtually! Tara graduated from USC with a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been an LPC for the past 16 years. She has worked in agencies, schools and private practice. We look forward to being encouraged and equipped in facing losses through our time with her.
