Why

Israel?

Grace Church began partnering with the Association of Baptist Churches in the Nazareth area in 2019. Being an Evangelical Christian in Israel can be both complicated and difficult, yet opportunities to influence the next generation in becoming spiritual leaders are great. Grace Church hopes to come alongside these brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage and help equip them for the unique challenges they face.

Our

Partnership

The Association of Baptist Churches in Israel (ABC) seeks to be salt and light to glorify God in the place he chose to dwell and become man. Representing the largest single group of Evangelical Christians in Israel today, the association includes 18 churches and a community of 3,000 people. They serve mainly among the Arab population in Israel to provide discipleship opportunities for youth, children, families, and more.

ABC has a vision to empower the Church in Israel, developing trust and cooperation between congregations. They sponsor common ministries that impact communities with the gospel, strengthening the Christian presence in the Holy Land and supporting mission work in the region. Their mission is to support churches and pastors in every way possible and build the Kingdom of God in the Holy Land and beyond.

What You

Can Do

The youth of Nazareth face significant challenges spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and academically. Having someone to stand in the gap to oversee youth development and ministry opportunities is a high priority for ABC. Because of this critical need, Grace has committed to provide financially for a Student Coordinator position with ABC over the next two years. We are excited that God has led Luna Matar to this leadership role. Pray for her to have wisdom and favor as she brings together youth, parents, and volunteers for growth and discipleship moments.

Our partnership with ABC of Israel will include opportunities to serve on short-term mission teams in the future. Plans have been delayed due to the pandemic. As we wait, pray for the leaders and churches in Nazareth to grow and be encouraged.
