March 2019

DT | Mentor Upstate Training

Sunday, March 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Could something as simple as mentoring a child really change things for them? The answer is yes. The children in our schools who need mentors are the same children who are identified as “at-risk” in other arenas. Whether they experience the impacts of foster care, the instability of homelessness, or the challenges that come from never quite getting ahead, children and youth in our communities are living at-risk. They are vulnerable, and they need someone like you now so that they do not become a statistic later. Mentor Upstate is working in local schools and throughout our community to connect these under-resourced children to mentors. Join us at the Downtown campus on March 3, from 3:00-4:00pm, or March 6, from 7:00-8:00pm for an upcoming training to become a mentor for youth. This training is hosted by Mentor Upstate. Please register using the link below.

DT | Night of Prayer

Sunday, March 3 @ 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Night of Prayer is an opportunity for us to gather corporately to pray. We are dependent on God for everything, but we are constantly battling our thoughts and mindset in this regard. Prayer is a tangible way that demonstrates our dependence on him. Join us as we have some time to pray for campus needs, time to pray for one another, and time to be prayed for. Night of Prayer will be March 3 at 6:45pm. Weather permitting, we will have refreshments in the courtyard at 6:15pm. Childcare is available for infants and children up to 5 years old. There is no charge for childcare, but we do need you to register using the link below.

Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Our world is full of competing voices about who we are, what’s really happening in our world, and how we should live. What place does Christianity have in a world like that? What about Jesus? And what is our place both inside and outside the church? Please join Jason Curtis in this class to explore the significance of Jesus, the Trinity, Israel, the Bible, and the church for the world and for our own stories. This class will begin on March 25 and will meet for three consecutive weeks (March 25, April 1, & April 8) from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Refreshments and childcare will be available.

April 2019

DT | Baptism

Sunday, April 21 @ 9:15 am - 6:30 pm
Downtown Campus, 101 West McBee Ave.
Greenville, SC 29601 United States

Baptism is an act of obedience and a way of publicly identifying with Jesus. As Christ was buried and raised to life, baptism represents that you have died to your old life (burial) and have been given a new life (resurrection). Baptism does not make you a believer, but it is a way of publicly showing that you already trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins. Our next baptism will be April 21.
