Nicaragua Teaching Trip

Empowered by God's Word

Last month, a small team of members traveled to Nicaragua to provide teaching and development for our partners there, Christ for the City International. In particular, the team spent some focused time walking the women through our new Ezer study, Seven Arrows: Studying Philippians Together. This study utilizes the Seven Arrows method of studying the Bible, so learning this material has value beyond learning about the book of Philippians. Our hope is that our partners in Nicaragua will be able to use this resource to deepen their own study of God’s Word and equip the people in their local churches and ministries.

One of our team members, Whitney Maness, had this to say about working with the women in Nicaragua:

“By going on the January trip to Nicaragua to help teach the Seven Arrows study to our women’s ministry partners there, I think I observed empowerment in what is probably its truest sense. Not that I personally conveyed any power, but simply that God’s Word is powerful and was written to be accessible to all who read it. The Seven Arrows study is a tool of accessibility to studying Scripture, and it was clear to me that God desires so deeply to reveal himself to his Nicaraguan daughters through that tool. It was a privilege to worship, pray, and receive the empowerment of God’s Word with my sisters in Christ, in another country, and in another language.”
